On display at Galleria Espinasse 31st from 6th June

From June 6th June, the deep blue of “Liquid Blue” by the Latvian artist Valentinaki, curated by Marco De Crescenzo, will invade the space of Galleria Espinasse 31 in Milan, referring to the intense colors of the Baltic Sea.

Gobbetto, technical sponsor of the exhibition, lights up the corpus of abstract works by Valentinaki with the expressive power of his resins, created between 2022 and 2023 between site specific and large and small canvases, which explore themes dear to the artist such as water environmental problems related to marine pollution and the unscrupulous use of resources. Taking inspiration from Zygmunt Bauman’s theory of Liquid Modernity, the artist recreates a Blue world that is constantly in motion and changing.

Brilliant and malleable  is the Poliepo Green resin, the latest innovation that belongs to the Gobbetto Green Resin project, which is used to give a vitrified aesthetic effect to the work, emphasizing its intensity. Water flows and continuously renews the surrounding environment in a wave of creativity and innovation, like an infinite liquid in constant movement and mutation, a metaphor of human nature that incessantly seeks its purpose. The Baltic Sea, which hides under the surface surprises and facets that are always new and to be discovered, exactly as Gobbetto’s resins hide them, multifaceted, creative and malleable, for over 60 years at the service of art and architecture, to interpret the voice of the most diverse artists and designers.

Liquid Blu by Valentinaki, with its embrace, accompanies you to perceive liquidity as an opportunity, like a creative and inspirational dance to create new shapes, new balances and new nuances.

An anthology of references, hues and materials. Flooring, coverings and continuous surfaces with different expressive styles, illustrating the infinite application possibilities for architecture and interiors, for design and art.
The color palette is a balanced proposal between natural and more decisive chromatic declinations, where the resin lights up spaces and surfaces through colour.

The contemporary language of resin. The new Gobbetto catalogue.
