MADE EXPO – Fieramilano, Rho, Pav. 1 Stand T25 – U30, from 3 to 6 February 2010
The main assumption of Resin Gallery, projected by Eleonora Rossato for Made Expo 2010, is the identification in the creative world of architecture and design through Gobbetto’s technologies.
A radial pattern made of ten arches promotes the themes of Gobbetto resins, offering a subtle and sensual route that bares the language of matter, stimulating signals and communication means typically emerging from architectural surfaces.
Among the exposed new entries, Raymundo Sesma’s installation, a self-laying floor made for urban routes, useful to obtain bicycle and pedestrian ways or any surface where the track needs have graphical references. An interactive sphere is the selected means to emphasize the luminous effects of Biolux, an epoxy resin invented to glow in the dark. Flexint is a soft and elastic resin which coats surfaces of most objects and furniture in Gobbetto’s stand.
Gobbetto celebrates 50 years of activity introducing the book “Gobbetto: I Cinquant’anni”
Patient and fanciful like a Renaissance alchemist, the company’s founder, Giancarlo Gobbetto, succeeded in the almost impossible task of changing the resin from product used in industrial applications into “Philosopher’s Stone” enabling to imagine and to design new worlds, among art, design and architectonic creativity.
Thanks to an extraordinary iconographical apparatus, which renders the vivid tones and the tactile features of a material offering high performance and remarkable aesthetic opportunities, the book describes widely the profile of a company reality evolving continuously: the thorough knowledge of sophisticated technologies blends with pioneer excitement towards experimentation and innovation and creates a sort of fascinating joint work, fruit of the meeting and the cooperation with visionaries and creative artists all over the world.
The first book where binding is realized by hand with resin casting.
